Canoeing Governed by the BCU
We have Canadian Canoes, which can take either one or two people at a time – learning how to paddle a Canadian canoe solo does take a bit more time, whereas two people can normally paddle a canoe together after the briefest of lessons from one of our charming instructors.
We run sessions for the absolute beginner up to courses leading to BCU three star Open Canoe Training. Longridge taster sessions are always a good experience for the first time paddler, and they run throughout the day and evening from Easter until the Autumn when the river becomes too fast moving to be safe.
Our prices are based on groups of 8 led by a qualified instructor for a fun session or groups of 6 if working towards a BCU qualification.
For those wishing to broaden their experience we can offer courses based on the BCU syllabus (British Canoe Union).
