High Ropes

Balancing Act…

High Ropes

These physical activities are great, fun tests of agility and balance.

High Equilibrium

Your task is to climb to the top of a tall pole where you will find a seesaw, on which you must balance. As your teammates climb up to join you on the seesaw, the trickier it becomes to keep your balance.

Climbers are harnessed up and are kept from falling by a rope, which is kept tight by a ‘bell ringer’ and a ‘rope puller’.

High All Aboard

Your task is to climb a tall pole where you will discover a small platform at the top on which you must balance. Your teammates will take it in turns to climb up and join you. The more people who reach the top, the trickier it becomes to keep your balance.

Postman’s Walk

Challenge your agility and nerve and develop your trust and confidence in your teammates.

Improve your climbing skills by ascending the poles, test your balance on the wooden beams and put your nerve to the test traversing across the tight rope wire. The further you choose to go, the higher you will get. Just don’t look down!

This is a high ropes activity full of personal challenge. You will also learn belay techniques such as bell ringing to enable you to keep your fellow peers safe from the ground. Trust will be a key outcome here.

All of our activities are suitable for those aged 8-years and over.
